Five years ago, my seven-year-old son and I began taking martial arts classes at Okamoto’s School of Karate. I had tried a few karate classes as a teenager, but the instructors weren’t very good, and I never followed through with the program. At Okamoto’s, our experience has been nothing but positive. My son, now 12, has developed focus, coordination, discipline, and – most importantly – self-confidence. As for me, I’ve benefited from regular exercise, stress relief, and a boost in my own confidence as well. The curriculum is interesting and engaging, and the instructors are wonderful with kids. It’s hard work, especially at the advanced level, but the rewards have been substantial. About a year ago my wife and daughter joined; now karate is a healthy and enjoyable activity for our whole family. We look forward to many more years of fitness, friendship, and fun at Okamoto’s!

My 9 year old just finished her 3rd lesson from the school. She absolutely loves it. The instructors do an amazing job of keep ALL students involved. They teach not only body but the mind as well. Watching from the sidelines everyone seems very involved and all smiles. I would recommend this school to anyone and everyone of all walks of life.

My 4 year old daughter has been taking classes at Okamotos Karate, She was shy at first but now she loves it!! At home she always wants to practice if someone grabs her,how she will get away! I absoutley love this school and I know when she s older I will have some peace of mind knowing she has learned how to defend herself. Also I have noticed she has more self confidence and at 4 yrs old shes learning respect! What else could a parent ask for:) Thank you Okamotos Karate!!

Our child has never participated in this type of activity so we were hesitant of him attending the class. The instructor was very welcoming and helped him participate in the class. When I called about questions regarding the class the person who called me back was very helpful.
